? on misdemeanor done at 17 court at 18

My daugher stole a pack of cigarettes when she was 17. She went to court the day after she was 18 and pleaded guilty. It's now on her permanent record as as adult and she can't get a job almost anywhere. Is there a way to get this off her record seeing it hapenned shen she was a minor?
